The Ford Bronco is back with a retro style, so you don't forget where it came from, and it has new innovative features and technology to make it more capable than ever. The 2021 Bronco is an all-new model that can tackle any type of terrain, but it doesn't end there. It also has an interior that is durable, functional, and comfortable. Here's a look at what you can get with the Bronco and what it can do.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Ford gives consumers a lot of trim levels to choose from with the Bronco. The base starts the lineup with 16-inch steel wheels, LED headlights, and tow hooks. Step up to the Big Bend for LED fog lights, a unique grille, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Black Diamond adds skid plates, heavy-duty bumpers in front and back, and rock rails, while the Outer Banks has body-colored door handles, fender flares, 18-inch wheels, and all-terrain tires. The Badlands upgrades the suspension and the LED headlights, and the top-Level Wildtrak and the First Edition models come with a hardtop, 17-inch Beadlock-capable wheels, 35-inch mud-terrain tires, and a lifted suspension.
Engine (Power)
The base Bronco engine is a 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder gas engine with 300 horsepower. Ford offers an optional 2.7-liter turbo V-6 that puts out 330 horsepower and generates 415 pound-feet of torque. The base engine uses a seven-speed automatic and offers a 10-speed automatic, while the V-6 comes standard with the 10-speed.
Performance
Ford designed the Bronco to tackle rough terrain, but they didn't forget to make sure it's comfortable on the road too. When you take it off-road, it can take on almost anything from technical rock climbing to mud and sand. Just the turn of a dial allows the driver to choose one of the G.OA.T. modes and optimize throttle, shifting, and steering.
Interior
The Bronco has room for five. The cabin has a simple layout, comfortable seats, and functional features for off-roading. The large dash has rubberized grab handles, and the window and mirror controls sit ahead of the center armrest. The cargo area has space to store the doors, and both the hard and soft top roofs are easy to take off.
An 8-inch touch screen houses the Ford infotainment system in the Bronco, and it comes with a six-speaker stereo and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 12-inch touch screen is available with the High Package, and wireless smartphone charging is also available along with integrated navigation and an upgraded stereo system.
Safety Features
Every Bronco comes with advanced driver aids such as forward collision alert, automatic braking, and hill start assist. Hill descent control is also standard, along with trailer sway damping. It also has trail turn assist to help it make tight turns when it's going over off-road terrain. The optional Mid Package adds rear parking sensors, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-path detection, and a lane-keeping assist system. A 360-degree surround-view camera comes with the High Package, which also adds front parking sensors, and the optional Lux Package has evasive steering assist and adaptive cruise control.
